The PMF recently announced the funding for a new Lecturership in Chinese business studies to be established at the Saïd Business School, Oxford. The PMF laid the foundations for undergraduate business studies at Oxford University in 1991, on which the Saïd Business School was developed.

A junior fellowship in Chinese archeology at Merton College
Peter Moores Foundation has endowed a junior fellowship in Chinese archeology at Merton College, Oxford. Dr Roderick Campbell was elected as Peter Moores Research Fellow in Chinese Archaeology in October 2010 for a period of 3 years.

Dr Campbell will work as an independent researcher in any area of Chinese Archaeology he chooses but it is planned that off-site work will take place at Compton Verney where there is a Chinese collection which has been recognised as a collection of national importance.

For the last 15 or so years, while itinerantly living in Taiwan and China, Rod Campbell earned a B.A. from the University of Victoria in English and Chinese literature, an M.A. from the University of British Columbia in Ancient Chinese paleography and linguistics (oracle-bones and bronze inscriptions) and a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Anthropology and East Asian Languages and Civilizations.
New Peter Moores Dean to lead Saïd Business School
Professor Peter Tufano took up his post on 1 July 2011 as the Peter Moores Dean of Oxford's Saïd Business School.

Professor Hamilton, Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, commented:

Peter has an outstanding academic reputation and a strong record of forging collaborations within a world-class University and beyond. These achievements, combined with his impressive teaching experience and commitment to use rigorous business research to improve business and regulatory practice, make him the ideal person to lead the School.’

Professor Tufano said: ‘I am thrilled to be asked to lead the Saïd Business School and to be joining the Oxford community. Society faces many problems today, and business, as the economic engine of society, has a critical and constructive role to play in addressing many of them. The world looks to leading business schools for innovative ideas that inform action, and for well-trained and principled graduates.
